Tekno's deal with Sony Music has made some Nigerians believe he has crossed over to the other side. They feel the deal means Tekno has sold his soul to the devil.

When the news broke that fast rising Nigerian star Tekno was going to sign a record deal with international record label Sony Music, many rejoiced with him. But there are others who want Tekno to be very careful about joining the international entertainment company.

Their grouse comes from the fact that Sony Music has been labeled devilish by many musicians in the past. One of such musicians is the late legendary musician Michael Jackson who after his business deal with the label went bad came out to criticize Sony and its leadership on live TV.

Others feel Sony Music is a front for mystical occult group, The Illuminati. Despite all this, it is important to bear in mind that these statements are all allegations. There is no proof that Sony Music has ties to the Illuminati or whether the group even exists.

The kind of deal Tekno signed has also come under the microscope. According to Legit.ng findings, the deal is not worth the $4million being touted. Instead, what Tekno signed is a ‘3 single’ deal. This means Tekno will release 3 songs and Sony/Columbia records will help in its distribution and promotion. If the singles do not make much of an impact, the deal ends amicably, But if it does, then it can be extended.
