Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has spoken up in support of embattled head of the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman.
The actress has urged Christians in Nigeria to come out en mass to support and accompany Apostle Johnson Suleman as he goes to the Department of State Services (DSS) office on Monday, January 30, 2017 under the invitation of the state security services.
Okorie took to her Instagram page to rally support for the preacher when she wrote:
“The DSS has invited Apostle Johnson Suleman to appear b/4 the Abuja office for interrogation by 10 am on Monday 30/1/17. Let every Christian come out in a procession to accompany Apostle Suleman to the DSS office. He spoke for us all. We stand against the shameful silence of Nigerian government over killing of Christians in Nigeria; intimidation/ harassment of the church with state security agencies and the Islamic Agenda of this regime. United we stand & Together we will win this battle. Christians awake!!!!"
Apostle Suleman had asked Christians to defend themselves from Muslim extremist. This utterance of his made the DSS to go after him while he was in Ekiti state for a crusade.
The Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose came in to rescue the pastor from the DSS in Ado-Ekiti.
The attempted arrest of Apostle Suleman has elicited comments and reactions from human right activists, religious leaders and concerned Nigerians.
