How does it feel being Nigeria's richest comedian?

It feels good and I'm happy. I'm happy to be AY.

How would you say this recession has affected Nigerian comedians like you?

It's a win and lose situation. Win in the sense of the recession creates a need for people to laugh and get comic relief and comedy supplies that. The loss is the lack of stakeholders who usually pay millions of money to sponsor shows, they are withdrawn right now because there is no money in the country.

AYO MAKUN

AY said the recession has helped comedy because a lot of people need comic relief. This proved to be true as the Congress Hall at Hilton Abuja was packed!

At this stage in your career, what is your focus on: being a comedian or being an actor?

Both. I still have a very good comedy brand, the AY brand so that has given birth to the other ones. So I'm focused on both and more focused on creating more brands.

What should fans expect from your upcoming film, 10 Days in Sun city?

The film is another romantic comedy so fans should expect entertainment, a lot of laughter and of course some good stuff to go home with.

Who are you rooting for in the Big Brother Nigeria house?

At this point in time, I'll stick with my Warri brother, Efe.
