In an attempt to better explain the intricacies surrounding seniority amongst kings in Yoruba land, popular comedian Seyi Law took to twitter to detail what he says is the true history of the Yoruba race.
This is coming after a video showing the Ooni of Ife being disrespected by the Oba of Lagos went viral. Most considered the behavior of the King of Lagos to be extremely embarrassing as the Ooni of Ife is regarded to be the number one king in Yoruba land. But Seyi Law has given another dimension to the matter.
He says amongst other things that Oduduwa who is considered to be the founder of the Yoruba race isn’t the founder as widely reported. Instead, the Yoruba had existed for many years before his arrival. See his tweets below:
