- Kechi Okwuchi has not stopped making Nigeria proud with her talent
- The Sosoliso plane crash survivor made it to the grand finale of AGT competition
Kechi Okwuchi, one of the two Sosoliso plane crash survivors, has been making the nation proud with her remarkable performance at the America’s Got Talent (AGT).
The brave lady with her extraordinary voice got everyone talking at the contest as she made people look beyond her flaws as she took them on a journey with her powerful voice.
Although the 27-year-old lady canvassed for vote on the social media pages she run, she asked people not to vote for her as a result of pity. She said it would be unfair to the other contestants in the competition as they are equally good and deserve to win too.
However, the judges feel totally different as they feel the lady defines them with her performance. Cowell could not hold it down as she talked about her performance at the grand finale.
“Kechi, I just love you, everything about you. That wasn’t a song, that was an anthem,” Cowell said.
“We are only as good as the people who come on the show, and you define us. You made a difference to us, the people at home, and hopefully for yourself.”
Okwuchi has performed a series of songs ever since she joined the contest in June 2017. She got a ‘yes’ from each of the four judges after she did justice to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’.
Since that moment, she has taken the judges on a journey by performing Donny Hathaway’s ‘Song for You’ gracefully. They did not lose faith in her when she sang Katy Perry’s By the Grace of God.
She made it to the grand finale and wowed people with her performance. She has come a long way and has made the nation proud with her composure.
While the world is waiting for the winner of the AGT contest to be announced on Wednesday, September 20, people cannot help praying and wishing her the very best.
