His songs Skintight, Hollup and Sample You have gained him a lot of following in Africa and other countries in the world. He recently visited some Internally Displaced Person (IDP) camps in Maiduguri, Borno State and he shared his experience via Instagram and Twitter.
He shared a photo of the meal he was offered at one of his stops. This is normal right? Until you notice that the meal was a local delicacy called Fara. It is made with Grasshoppers.
Fara is a meal enjoyed in parts of Northern Nigeria. The preparation process is pretty simple. After the Grasshoppers are caught, its wings and legs are plucked off and they are then thrown into a pan to fry. The insects produce their own ‘oil’ while being cooked and this of course adds a unique flavor to the delicacy. Salt and pepper can be added too.
So, just like Mr. Eazi, would you be trying Fara?
